Autodesk AEC Conference Thailand 2013

From CAD to BIM - It's time to make your move


 

Autodesk Thailand recently hosted an AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) conference in Bangkok to support and prepare the Thai construction industry. The daylong conference featured Autodesk 2014 solutions for building design, construction, infrastructure and process plant industry’s. The conference discussed the current industry trends, challenges and the infrastructure opportunities in Thailand and the role and value of Autodesk’s BIM (building information modeling) technology.

 

Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, by using Autodesk’s software, a comprehensive software portfolio that combines Building Information Modeling (BIM) and CAD tools, now building and construction professionals can design, simulate, visualize, and build better buildings.

Mr. Smith Obayawat, President of The Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage (ASA) and President of Thai Green Building Foundation gave the key note address at the conference. While Mr. Gianluca Lange, Regional Industry Manager – ASEAN, Autodesk presented about ‘Worldwide construction trends and the role and value of BIM (building information modeling)’.

 

In his presentation, Gianluca Lange shared that productivity continues to be a great priority in the field of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. According to him, technologies like BIM are helping improve collaboration, reduce errors and speed time to market and in turn help save time and money. Gianluca shared that BIM is rapidly transforming the global construction and infrastructure industry and Autodesk a recognized global BIM leader can help Thai AEC professionals improve the way they build and design.

While Chatcharn Sutthipisal, Country Manager of Autodesk Thailand shared that, Autodesk is committed to help improve the Thai construction industry. According to him Thailand is on rapid infrastructure development that offers technology companies like Autodesk a lot of opportunities to help both small architectural companies and large consulting and construction companies. With Autodesk Building Design Suite and BIM technology, now firms can efficiently plan, design, construct and manage most critical infrastructure projects.

 

The conference was attended by 400+ senior industry professionals, architects, designers and experts from the construction industry in Thailand.
